MAD MAX SATURDAY NIGHTS

After his vehicle is stolen in the desert wasteland, Max (Mel Gibson) stumbles into Bartertown, a fully functioning town with its own energy in this post-apocalyptic world, run by the ruthless Aunty Entity (Tina Turner). "Dying time is here." After he wins a gladiator-style fight in the Thunderdome arena, he is exiled back into the desert. Luckily he is saved by a tribal group of children, with his path surely to lead back to the Thunderdome.

You can't get a more charismatic villain than Turner, with her character Aunty Entity now a tyrant but surely a former hero faced with difficult odds. Turner also provided the movie with a massive hit song on the topic, We Don't Need Another Hero. It may be the most "80s" style fun of all the Mad Max films and is the last with Gibson as the anti-hero.
