MAD MAX SATURDAY NIGHTS

50 years after the apocalypse, Max (Tom Hardy) finds himself captured by the War Boys, an army under the cult leader Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). Forced to become a living blood bag to a sickly War Boy called Nux (Nicholas Hoult), they go in mad pursuit after Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) in her War Rig with the stolen wives of Joe, searching for gas in the post-apocalyptic desert. Max and Furiosa mustwork together if there is any chance of fighting Joe and ending his cult.

George Miller originally thought about a fourth Mad Max film shortly after the third one, as a massive single-chase story with character development along the way. Finally becoming a reality in 2015, new technology helped the film reach an incredibly frenetic level of action and overboard car design, leading to Academy Awards for Costume Design, Make-Up and Hair, Editing, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Production Design, plus nominations for Best Picture and Director. Hardy and Theron amp up the intensity with the lovable henchman Hoult and the fantastic return of supervillain Keays-Byrne, who also played the Toecutter in the original Mad Max.

Almost a decade old now, Fury Road has taken its place as a classic alongside all the Mad Max films before it.
